Before you enroll

Texas cosmetology licenses require set hours of training at a TDLR-licensed school: 1,000 hours for a cosmetology operator, 750 for an esthetician and 600 for a manicurist under TDLR's current rules. Ask the school which programs it runs, the total cost, the schedule, and whether it participates in federal student aid. See our Texas license guide.
